Student Spotlight - Katarzyna Cwikla
It’s never too late to change the direction that your life is going in. At Perth College UHI, we offer great progression opportunities. Students can start from entry-level programmes, where no previous qualifications are required, and work their way up - with many courses going right up to honours degree level. In this week’s student spotlight, Katarzyna chatted to us about how she made a change in her life, and her plans for the future.
What course are you studying at Perth College UHI?
I am studying for an NQ in Administration.
What were you doing before you came to college?
Before I came to College, I worked as a breakfast chef in a hotel for over 9 years – but, for a long time, I have felt that this is not what I would like to do with my life.
Why did you decide to pick this course?
I decided to pick this course because - as an Administrator - I can work anywhere, in any office, in any industry, which gives me lots of opportunities in my future career.
What is your favourite thing about the course?
My favourite thing about this course, is that I have improved my IT skills at National Levels 5 and 6 and that I have met many new fantastic people.
Has there been any stand out/memorable moments from your course?
The first day was for me most memorable, when I met my PAT and my classmates 😊
What do you like about the campus?
I like that the campus is situated in wooded grounds and also that is is easy to get to by public transport, and has a large car park.
Have you enjoyed studying at Perth College UHI?
Yes, I have really enjoyed studying at Perth College UHI and the on-line studying has been a good experience.
Do you have any hobbies or interests outside of college?
I like to spend my time actively, going for long walks and doing fitness workouts.
What are your plans for after you finish your course?
After finishing this course, I would like to continue my education by going on to the HNC Administration and IT course at Perth College UHI.
