Bruno Pereira was one of the lucky Sport and Fitness students to be awarded a scholarship at St. Johnstone Football Club. We caught up with Bruno to see how he got on. 

Domini lives in Falkirk with her husband and two children. She started working at Perth College UHI as a supply lecturer and then became a permanent member of staff within the Health, Social Care and Early Education department in 2010.

The competition showcases the skills of plumbing apprentices from colleges and training centres across Scotland. Up to 36 participants competed in either the copper pipework competition or the lead work competition with four hours to complete a practical task that demonstrates their knowledge, technique and skill. Their completed work was assessed and marked by a panel of technical experts.

We are on a student-led residential and the students have chosen to grace the beautiful island of Islay. This is the culmination of the ‘Residential Outdoor Education’ module which has included link ups with Oman, Czech Republic and the USA - with invited guest speakers from the private, public and third sectors.

Designed to support the global Aviation industry, Perth College UHI, in partnership with Air Service Training (AST) has introduced a unique new course. The BSc (Hons) Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Management degree is the only one of its kind in Scotland.

Perth College UHI Contemporary Art Practise course has really opened my mind and allowed me to explore many techniques and do things I didn’t know possible, plus I have met some really nice people on the course. …and the lecturers are pretty cool too.

Over time, our understanding of what we’re trying to achieve by implementing cybersecurity has evolved. Essentially, what people really want is to reduce their cyber risk. That is, reduce the chances that there are negative consequences to using technology in the form of identity theft and financial fraud, and reduce potential intrusions into our privacy.

We spent a marvellous four days soaking up the art and culture of Amsterdam. Canals, canvas and clogs, and lots to inspire and reflect upon.

I was a bit apprehensive about returning to education, but it's been really easy to get back into the way of it, and I think that must be partly due to the lecturers and the style of teaching.
