“Our library has been modernised and is a learning environment that supports many styles of learning. We renovated the library to create an attractive learning environment with new lighting installed throughout and the layout designed to maximise natural light. There is new furniture creating more study spaces while the new PCs and laptops are faster and more reliable. There is also now a self-issue machine to save students time queuing when borrowing or returning books. Finally, we have also replaced the carpets throughout which have given the library a new look and feel.
“This custom built, modern space houses over 30,000 books, journals and multimedia items, as well as access to a huge variety of electronic resources. The library facilities and services are ready to meet the needs of our students, helping them to achieve successful results on their chosen programme of study, and we hope they enjoy the refreshed appearance.”

Our Language School is the best in Scotland!
The Perth College UHI Language School achieved the accolade of the highest placed British Council Accredited language school in Scotland in the 2019 rankings.
The inspection covers up to 15 areas, including: teaching; student administration; care of students; and course design. Teaching staff are observed; interviews undertaken with staff and student focus groups; administration and welfare staff have their processes rigorously inspected; and physical environment of the college is assessed.
Margaret Cook, Perth College UHI Principal, said: “We’re delighted that our Language School student journey has been recognised as excellent from start to finish. The inspection covers everything and demonstrates the hard work that our staff put in to ensure the international students we welcome are exceptionally well-treated.
“British Council Accreditation gives students the confidence that they have chosen a language school which will give them a good all-round experience. Accreditation is set to current industry standards and changes with the times, so our delivery has to constantly evolve to keep up with this.”
